All PRS Events Cancelled for 2020
The Pre-Raphaelite Society has decided to make the difficult decision to cancel all PRS talks and events until further notice due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) emergency - this includes the PRS AGM normally held in October. We hope we
are able to offer our usual events programme in 2021.

2021 Goldman Pre-Raphaelite Fellowship
The University of Delaware Library, in Newark, Delaware, USA and the Delaware Art Museum, USA are pleased to offer a joint Fellowship in Pre-Raphaelite studies, funded by the Amy P. Goldman Foundation. This one-month Fellowship, awarded annually, is intended for scholars conducting significant research in the lives and works of the Pre-Raphaelites and their friends, associates, and followers. Research of a wider scope, which considers the Pre-Raphaelite movement and related topics in relation to Victorian art and literature, and cultural or social history, will also be considered. Projects which provide new information or interpretation—dealing with unrecognized figures, women writers and artists, print culture, iconography, illustration, catalogues of artists’ works, or studies of specific objects—are particularly encouraged, as are those which take into account transatlantic relations between Britain and the United States. Applicants, whose research specifically utilizes holdings of the University of Delaware Library, the Mark Samuels Lasner Collection, the Delaware Art Museum, and the Helen Farr Sloan Library and Archives, are preferred.
For More Information about the Fellowship, please download the file below:

Simeon Solomon 'Special Issue' of the PRS Review in 2020!
PRS Reviews in 2019
Our new PRS Editor, Katja Robinson, has produced three wonderful issues of the PRS Review in 2019. This year Katja has brought a new look to the Review including with full colour covers and many colour images inside. In the Spring we reproduced and celebrated the essays and poetry of our John Pickard Essay Prize & PRS Poetry Prize winners alongside book and exhibition reviews. The Summer issue saw essays on Edward Burne-Jones, Christina Rossetti and Dante Gabriel Rossetti and others, as well as a new feature called 'Gallery Focus'. Autumn's edition produced essays on Evelyn De Morgan, the Marchmont Mural Cycle and Pre-Raphaelite Muses and included poetry and another 'Gallery Focus', this time on the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. 2020 promises to be another great year for the PRS, so if you haven't renewed your membership yet, you can do so on this website HERE - and for those of you who are considering membership, go to our membership pages HERE. You can still benefit from our 15 months for 12 months membership offer until 31st December 2019 HERE!
Rupert Maas and the PRS Founder's Day Lecture & AGM
We were delighted that Rupert Maas (The Maas Gallery, BBC's Antiques Roadshow) gave our Founder's Day Lecture in Birmingham on 19th October 2019. Rupert spoke about 'Charles Allston Collins and the Rediscovery of a Lost Pre-Raphaelite Painting'. The talk was also full of interesting and witty anecdotes and was throughly enjoyed by all who attended - (a full report of Rupert's lecture can be found in the Autumn copy of our Review.
Our Founder's Day Lecture and AGM are free to all members of the Pre-Raphaelite Society and takes place in October of each year.
