Vivid Visionary: The Celtic Romance of John Duncan

Discover the enchanting world of Sublime Symbolist John Duncan (1866-1945). Like his contemporary J. W. Waterhouse, Duncan approached themes favoured and much loved by the first, original generation of Pre-Raphaelites, such as Arthurian lore, Celtic Legend and Fairy fantasy.  This lecture will intertwine images with music and short video clips to transport viewer's into Duncan's unique, visionary world. Katja Robinson is Editor of The PRS Review, Mailing Co-Ordinator and Vice President of the PRS. She has been a member of the Society since 1997. Having lived in Scotland since 2004, she became captivated by the vivid art of John Duncan, serveral of who's works hang in Edinburgh and Dundee.
